Breakthrough Interest?

We’re seeing something happen with increasing frequency: mention of low-cost 3D printing in places where you would not expect it.

For example, a recent post on Vdo Tutorials explains all about the basics of 3D printing, fabrication and personal manufacturing potential. But who are Vdo Tutorials? They appear to us to be a Photoshop tutorial site!

Now we’re just wondering about the connection between Photoshop vs. 3D manufacturing? People design 2D images with Photoshop, maybe the same people will design 3D objects? They may design in another media (or dimension, in this case!)

Our theory is that personal manufacturing is of intense interest to many people, but they just don’t know it yet. As time passes, we’ll continue to see this interest erupt in various communities across the internet.
