An amusing article at BigThink ponders the consequences of 3D printing technology in the hands of supervillains. Writer Chris Cunnyngham read the article describing the first flyable 3D printed airplane (a drone, don’t get your hopes up yet) and said:

Very cool. And it scared the hell out of me.

He goes on to postulate the badness that Bond villains could have wrought had they used 3D printers to produce skies full of drones or worse. The possibilities for misuse are truly endless, and an evil mind could cause much havoc.

That’s what you get with advanced technology; It can be used for good or evil. But who chooses whether a technology is used for good or evil purposes?

You do.

Choose wisely.
