RAPID 3D Printed Clothing?

The annual RAPID additive manufacturing conference takes place this May in Atlanta and we’re expecting to see some interesting product announcements as usual. 
 
However, this year there might be something unusual in the plan, since the conference just put out a call for designers to submit “your most innovative 3D printed fashion piece”. 
 
It seems we’re in for a fashion show at the industrial conference! 
 
They’re seeking designs of clothing, jewelry, purses or accessories. That’s a very broad set of categories. Also: 
 
During the reception, models will walk the runway while an Event Advisor announces who designed the piece, their inspiration, what company created it and what additive manufacturing processes and materials were used.
