3D Systems President and CEO Avi Reichental was interviewed by Huffington Post correspondent Lilia Ziamou. The interview material is basic, as it’s intended for folks new to the concept of 3D printing. However, Reichental spends many words on 3D Systems’ strategy of “democratizing” 3D printing, talking about Cubify, CAD design and the ease of use of their products.
This is not surprising as it really is one of the most important aspects for future growth of 3D printing. The technology mostly works, but the challenge is in obtaining appropriate 3D models to print. 3D Systems is trying to solve that problem through their friendly Cubify site, increasingly easier to use devices and outreach to the general public.
It’s starting to work.
