This week’s selection is the eminently practical Bathroom Phone Holder by Thingiverse contributor hallonhatt.

This design is very straightforward: it’s a stand upon which you can place your smartphone (either in vertically or horizontally). You can then watch videos easily.

The interesting part is that it’s designed for use in your bathroom, as it will snap easily on to a 32mm pipe. If your pipes happen to be a different size, then a simple resize of the 3D model will likely solve the dilemma.

The idea is to orient the phone holder so that it faces your toilet, because, everyone watches videos while on the john, right? Right?

This design won’t work in all situations, as plumbing designs and floor layouts can vary considerably. But for some configurations, as shown in the image at top, this holder will work perfectly.

Just don’t stay in there all day.
