Three Years for Women in 3D Printing

Nora Toure, the force behind Women in 3D Printing

Nora Toure, the force behind Women in 3D Printing

One of our blogging partners, Women in 3D Printing is having an anniversary.

The publication has been in operation for three years now, and we congratulate them on the achievement.

Started in 2014 by Nora Toure, the publication seeks to promote the work of women who work in various positions in 3D print-related companies, projects and institutions. Toure herself is one of these women, as she is Sculpteo’s Business Development Director, helping grow one of the world’s largest 3D print services.

Typically they profile someone active in the industry through interviews that we re-publish and link to. It’s through these examples that Toure hopes to inspire others to enter the industry and help it become a more powerful force in the world.

She explains:

When I started Women in 3D Printing 3 years ago, I had no idea it would become such an empowering, friendly and strong community! This is something I've said to a few of you already: When I started the blog, I thought we were no more than a handful of women in this industry and that it would be an easy and quick job to publish our stories once a month...!
Here we are, 3 years later, with 100 women featured on the blog, a dozen of "Industry Insiders" and "How To" guest blog posts, about 150 more interviews pending, and most importantly: not a week goes by without learning from a woman in the industry I never heard of before.

Their strategy appears to be working, and we’re very happy to support it. The more brains we can have on a problem, the more likely things will progress.

And that helps everyone.

Congratulations to Women in 3D Printing, and thank you Nora for your efforts!
