Aleph Objects has opened the doors to business in Europe with its new HQ in the Netherlands.

International opportunities continue to open up in 3D printing, as companies from the US establish operations in Europe, while those based in Europe set up shop in the US. Expansions into and from Asia, Australia, and elsewhere are also picking up, as are production networks linking the global manufacturing community.

Aleph Objects, which makes the popular LulzBot desktop 3D printer line, is the latest to announce its expansion into Europe.

This week, the company announced the launch of Aleph Objects Europe Holding B.V. and its new European headquarters, Aleph Objects Netherlands B.V. Operations are centered in Rotterdam, for relatively easy reach to the continent; the company notes that the proximity to Brussels and The Hague makes the new HQ “strategically situated at the gateway to Europe.”

Going where the demand is is an important part of business operations — and clearly LulzBot is in demand in Europe.

“European revenue growth in 2019 alone is expected to reach triple digits, with a projected overall representation of more than 30% of our future business,” said Aleph Objects CEO and President Grant Flaharty.

It’s clearly an ambitious year for Aleph Objects, and that’s by design. Upon adding the CEO to his existing President title at the end of 2018, Flaherty said that Aleph Objects would be intentionally targeting international business in 2019, which he anticipated to be a “record-breaking year.”

Leading the expanded operations will be European Managing Director Jeroen Wijnen. He’s familiar with both 3D printing and the European market, bringing experience from Ultimaker and Raise 3D to his new role focusing on LulzBot machines.

“Creating a strong presence for LulzBot to assist our existing and new customers and resellers in Europe is my first priority,” said Wijnen. “I’m convinced LulzBot’s dedication to reliability of its 3D printers and unrivaled customer support will be appealing to the European market…this will enable LulzBot to set new standards with the unveiling of upcoming product launches”

Wijnen and the European team have plenty of work ahead — because Aleph Objects is making sure they do. The company introduced two new 3D printers to the LulzBot line in the last two months with the professionally-focused TAZ Pro and the update to the TAZ 6, the TAZ Workhorse

The Rotterdam location will be able to provide product demonstrations for the expanding 3D printer line, as well as offering support and consulting for customers and resellers.
