Miaomiao, could you let us know briefly about your background and your journey into Additive Manufacturing?

My name is Miaomiao Zhao from China. I started using 3D Printing in December 2014, and then started a passion for the 3D Printing technology. I worked with FDM, SLA, and SLS. It’s been almost 10 years in 3D printing technology field, and hopefully our 3D printing technology will continue to be democratized.

To date, what would you say is your greatest achievement in Additive Manufacturing?

My greatest achievement is introducing 3D printing technology to more people.

When hiring, what are you looking for in a candidate?
Who is really really passionate about 3D printing technology and wants to do great things for our 3D printing community.

What is the best advice you were given in your career?
To do something you’re really passionate about.

What is the most impressive or impactful use of 3D printing you’ve seen so far?

So far I have seen the most impressive or impactful use of 3D Printing in the Aerospace and Military Industries.

Have you run into any challenges from being a woman 3D Printing?

Yes, because there aren’t that many women in 3D printing yet.

Is anything exciting coming up you’d like us to know about?

This year I joined Yulin Energy and Chemical Vocational and Technical School to teach 3D Printing technology courses to students!
