We wrote a while ago about the Discovery Channel’s new show, “Prototype This”. Well, it turns out that’s not the only show in town using 3D print tech.

The CSI franchise, well known for pushing the envelope on various technologies, is doing the same with 3D tech. The premiere episode of CSI: NY involved the use of a 3D scanner to capture tire impressions during an investigation.

Evidently 3D scanners will also be used in an upcoming CSI: Las Vegas episode (October 30th). What’s next? CSI: Miami?
