Last year Public Knowledge organized a small conference in Washington DC with the objective of providing real information to US legislators on the new topic of personal 3D printing. Now it appears they’re doing a repeat on April 24th. They say:

Come see the remarkable, disruptive technology of 3D printing in person. Chat with some of the people and companies that make it happen. Mingle with other 3D printing fans and curiosity seekers.

It also appears that the major players in the 3D printing industry could make presentations, including 3D Systems, MakerBot and Shapeways.

Public Knowledge’s Michael Weinberg put together a paper in advance of last year’s conference with the most totally accurate  title, “It Will Be Awesome If They Don’t Screw It Up”.

It’s already awesomer than last year, and they haven’t screwed it up. Yet.
