We now have a revealing look at a possible new Creality product called “Hyperfeed”.
In a recent FCC filing, a mysterious product called “HYPERFEED” appeared. In the filing, there just happens to be a product manual, where you can see in some detail how the system works.
However, it’s just a product manual showing how to put the Hyperfeed together and does not explicitly say what it is for. I took a look at the manual, and I think I know enough to explain how it works and why you would use it.
It seems to be an accessory for resin 3D printing, specifically for their new HALOT-X1 Max Combo resin 3D printer. That machine is pretty sweet: it prints at a fast rate, 170mm/hr, and the build volume is relatively large for a resin system: 212 x 118 x 200 mm. In other words, you can print larger objects.
Larger objects mean you will need lots of resin. That’s where the Hyperfeed seems to come into play.
It’s a resin storage management system. It can hold up to five litres of resin, more than enough to supply the 3D printer for even the largest builds. The Hyperfeed will pump resin into the printer’s resin vat as required during print jobs.
The Hyperfeed can also pump resin OUT of the resin vat. This would be useful when changing resins. There is also a cleaning cycle that will use IPA to clean out the Hyperfeed plumbing in preparation for the next resin. Also, the resin is stored in a removable bucket on the Hyperfeed.
This all suggests that you would connect the Hyperfeed to your resin 3D printer and then swap in resin buckets as you need to change materials. You could buy resin in larger quantities and keep them in these five-litre buckets. I can imagine an operator would have a collection of buckets, each with a commonly used colour/material.
The buckets come with an RFID capability. You put an RFID sticker on the bucket when filling it to identify the type of resin. This is read by the system to ensure the printer knows which material is loaded.
Finally, the Hyperfeed is able to heat the resin, which would save time on the printer and increase print quality.
The information is quite detailed, but it does not have any indication of when — or even if — the Hyperfeed will become an actual Creality product. However, it looks to be a product they are readying for launch fairly soon.
