Morpholio’s 3D Pinup 2014 Competition

By on May 28th, 2014 in Design, Event

Design showcase app Morpholio is holding a competition – and there’s a special twist for 3D print designs.

Morpholio is in fact an app in which designers can share and showcase their designs in a social-networky kind of way. Now they’re launching a competition entitled, “Pinup 2014”. They say:

Pinup 2014 invites students and young professionals to submit a collection of their studio, 3d printed or un-built work comprised of up to three digital images. By submitting your work, we invite you to share your voice with the collective intelligence of a community of visual thinkers. The competition is free to all entrants.

They’re looking for designs that answer these questions:

  • What are the aspirations by which we evaluate design today?
  • In an increasingly networked culture, what makes a project capable of cutting through the virtual noise, and starting a new conversation?
  • How do evolving forms of media affect the way in which your message reaches its destination?
  • What is your message?

Here’s the part we like: “There is an additional and special recognition for 3d printing submissions.”

If you’re a young designer with 3D printing aspirations, you might consider entering this contest. If so, do so quickly as entries close on June 9th.
