UK-based Ion Core Ltd’s Zinter PRO 3D Printer could be an interesting option for 3D printer buyers.

The Zinter PRO is a filament-extrusion machine, like many recent entrants. It includes these key features:

  • Build volume of 200 x 200 x 200mm
  • Dual 0.4mm extruders
  • Simplified front panel controls
  • Ability to print ABS, PLA, Nylon, PVA and Polycarbonate with the heated bed
  • Enclosed chamber to increase print quality

But the feature we most admire in this unit is the industrial design. It’s simply beautiful to look at. It isn’t overly simplified like some designs, nor is it a jumble of parts. And it’s shiny.

Aside from the machine itself, your purchase will include a set of tools, lifetime help desk support and a 12 month warranty, which is a rarity among 3D printer manufacturers these days.

Ion Core also includes the increasingly popular Simplify3D software that enables custom support structures, multiple settings per print job and a way to convert 2D images to 3D models, as well as the standard 3D printing management functions.

The price for this unit is not small, however, at £2,350 (USD$3960). For that price, however, you’ll get a rather nice machine.
