 It's the new Fabbaloo!
It’s the new Fabbaloo!

Welcome to the All New Fabbaloo!

Today you’ll no doubt notice some very different things on our pages. And not only have the pages and their look changed, but we’ve also made significant changes behind the scenes.

These changes have been a long time coming; we haven’t made substantial changes since 2014, and today’s announcements are far more profound.

The look of a site is an important factor to me; I learned long ago that a “look” can convey feelings and emotion just as words can. While our previous design was one I quite liked, its appearance was getting tired and its operation cranky.

Our old look. It was nice knowing you! Thank you for your years of service

It was time for a change.

I began to investigate how we could improve the look of the site, and soon found a look that I like and suspect most readers will too. It’s clean and easy to read, and should appear well on mobile devices as well.

But.

Like most renovations, once you start, you find more things to improve and things quickly got a bit escalated well past a layout change. We changed the look and feel, changed a few more things, and then a few more.

Important things.

First, I am pleased beyond words to announce that our new Managing Editor is Sarah Goehrke.

Sarah is extremely well-known across the 3D print industry and has written extensively about the technology, including her tenure at 3DPrint.com, where she was the Editor-in-Chief for nearly three years. Going forward, she will mastermind the publishing and editorial side of Fabbaloo, and be our representative at most 3D printing events worldwide.

As for myself, General Fabb is definitely not going away! He (I) will continue to write stories for Fabbaloo, where my grammar will now be properly corrected by Sarah. I’ll still be attending certain important 3D print events along with other members of our team, and hope to see you there.

And there’s more changes. Our business model is now significantly enhanced with a number of new products for clients. To help process our increased sales, we’ve hired Emelia Nyarku as Acquisition Sales Manager to assist our Vice President of Business Development, Marney Stapley.

If you’d like to provide us with information about products, announcements, tips or ideas, feel free to contact Sarah or myself. For sales, contact Marney

With our increased team we hope to expand our coverage and provide deeper insights into the evolving technology of 3D printing. We’ll be speaking to more vendors and users of the technology and ensuring all readers understand the events to come in 3D printing.

They say the market for 3D printing technology will grow at a very solid rate for many years as industry, professionals and others increasingly adopt and leverage it.

We’re now ready to go along for the ride. Will you come with us?
