Mark down another acquisition for 3D Systems, who this week announced they’ve picked up Belgian 3D print service Kemo B.V. Modelmaker. This Belgian firm adds to the significant number of 3D print services now under the vast 3D Systems umbrella. Kemo focuses on on-demand custom parts for industry, similar to other services that 3D Systems have recently acquired.
What does this mean? We think this is a continuation of 3D Systems’ strategy of building up the largest and most widespread network of 3D print services in the world. They now offer services from most of the world’s regions. Obviously, they believe (as do we) 3D print services will be a strongly growing market in years to come. It looks like they’re well-positioned to take full advantage when that happens.
