Every year we gather feedback from our readers, and now we’re doing it for 2018.

It’s a critical part of our business, because we need to get your feedback and understand who you are. That’s how we tweak our operations to be more appropriately serving your needs.

In past years the survey has allowed us to introduce some new practices, but also justified to us to retire some other practices. We’re hoping for the same this time.

As we’ve done in previous years, we’ve partnered with premier 3D printing service Sculpteo to help encourage you to respond. One winner will be selected from the pile of entries to receive a US$100 credit from Sculpteo for you to use 3D printing, well, whatever you like.

Sculpteo is a very comprehensive 3D print service that also happens to provide laser cutting capabilities in addition to their 3D printing services. They offer the ability to 3D print in a very wide array of materials, typically far beyond what can be done with inexpensive 3D printers.

It’s an ideal service to experiment with new materials, as they offer the ability to 3D print in:

  • SLS: Nylon PA12 (White)

  • SLS: Nylon PA11/12 (Gray)

  • SLS: Nylon 3200 Glass-Filled

  • SLS: Alumide

  • SLS: Carbonmide

  • SLS: PEBA

  • Multi Jet Fusion: PA12 (Black)

  • PolyJet: VeroWhite Resin

  • PolyJet: VeroClear Resin

  • Colorjet: Multicolor

  • SLM: Aluminum AlSi7Mg0.6

  • SLM: Direct Metal Laser Sintering (Metal)

  • SLM: Stainless steel 316L

  • SLM: Titanium 6Al-4V

  • Binder Jet: Steel / Bronze 420SS/BR

  • Binder Jet: Stainless Steel 316

  • Casting: Silver

  • Casting: Brass

  • Casting: Bronze

For laser cutting, they offer a selection of materials, including: Acrylic, Mirrored Acrylic, Plywood, MDF, Cardboard, POM, Aluminum, Steel and Stainless Steel.

How do you get a chance to win the ability to make with those materials? It’s very simple: spend a few short minutes answering our annual reader survey!
