If you're thinking about 3D printing in high-temperature materials you might want to look at the INTAMSYS FUNMAT PRO 410.

The name of the machine, if you haven't guessed, is an abbreviation of "functional materials”, and that is precisely what this device is all about. It is able to 3D print in PEEK, PEKK, PPSU, ULTEM, ABS, PC and many more, due to the high-temperature capabilities of the device.

Temperature is a key feature of the 410, as its hot end can hit 450C, enabling use of almost all high-temperature 3D printable materials. The print surface itself can be raised to as much as 160C, far more than the more typical 100C surface temperatures seen in other equipment.

The build chamber can be raised to 90C, which should be sufficient for 3D printing almost any material. INTAMSYS says these temperatures should ”provide no warping and cracking printing of big size functional materials.”

The INTAMSYS FUNMAT PRO 410 includes a rather large build chamber at 305 x 305 x 406 mm, so you should be able to print almost every typically-sized part.

The machine includes a number of convenience features including a color touchscreen, automatically cleaned nozzles, automatic calibration, filament-out detection, and an internally mounted webcam to allow you to follow the print during operation.

One feature on the INTAMSYS FUNMAT PRO 410 that we hadn't seen before in this product line is dual nozzle capability. This allows users of the INTAMSYS FUNMAT PRO 410 to 3D print with soluble support materials. That will permit easy 3D printing of highly complex geometries, that would otherwise be too fragile to print with directly attached support structures on other machines.

INTAMSYS has configured the INTAMSYS FUNMAT PRO 410 to enable the use of open materials. This is a very good feature because the high-temperature capabilities of the machine would allow experimentation with virtually any filament-based material that one could find on the market.
