This week’s selection is the TwinJet Speedboat by Printables contributor 3_Dave.
This is a simple yet exciting 3D print to build. It’s a model speedboat that is powered by air — air that you blow into a balloon and attach to the boat.
The small boat is designed with two “jets” on the stern, which presumably assist with trajectory alignment.
An interesting feature is an attachment to the balloon that mates with the boat. This allows you to much more easily attach the balloon without risk of losing air when your fingers do a fumble.
But there’s another advantage: you could print a couple of these adapters and prepare more balloons in advance, ready for use immediately.
I know that it’s at the end of summer, but there should be beach and pool time remaining. If you are planning to hit either, consider printing this simple and fun boat.
