This week’s selection is a partially 3D printed conference room by Fungamental.
The conference room makes heavy use of large-format 3D printed panels that form a highly unusual structure, explains designer Jaroslav Baron on LinkedIn:
“The circular conference room is surrounded by 3D-printed panels and living plants. It also features sophisticated details in the column cladding and the mounting of the control elements. LFAM technology with nice printing details and effective print. Modeled in Rhino using nurbs surfaces.”
There’s an interesting convergence of technologies here.

Generative design using Rhino, combined with large format 3D printing can produce objects suitable as architectural or decorative elements. Here this approach was used to create an incredibly unusual conference room.
This could be a signal for what the future of design may be like: what if we could easily create radical designs to accompany our typical structures? Could we see more conference rooms like this? Residences? Offices?
I’m hoping we do.
