This week’s selection is the Toothbrush Holder Insert by Printables contributor DireLlama.

This entirely practical item is something almost everyone can use. What is it? It’s a bathroom accessory that keeps your toothbrush from getting gross. DireLlama explains:

“You know that gross water that collects at the bottom of your toothbrush holder cup? That keeps your toothbrushes continually drenched? No more, I say! This simple design sits at the bottom of the cup and acts as a sieve so your toothbrush collection can be dry and comfy well above the water level.

Resize in your slicer to fit your specific toothbrush setup.

You should still occasionally clean your toothbrush holder, though. Because, seriously, that stuff is gross no matter where it is.”

This is an incredibly simple 3D model to print, and you should do so upside down because of the legs that keep the platform raised for draining.

The insert is designed for a glass of a specific diameter, but it would be trivial to resize for any cylindrical cup you use for your toothbrush.

I find this particular model quite inspiring because it is an ingenious yet simple solution to a common household issue. If one can design and make this, then there are plenty of other household issues that could do with the same treatment.
