One of this year’s premier 3D additive manufacturing events is only weeks away.
RAPID + TCT is the largest event focusing on additive manufacturing and 3D print technologies taking place in North America, with hundreds of exhibitors and many thousands of attendees from all industries.
We regularly attend RAPID + TCT, having been to many prior events. It is an extremely convenient event to attend due to its location and your ability to connect with vendors and others in your industry. That’s why we are heading to Chicago for this year’s RAPID + TCT event.
Event organizers have listed more than 350 exhibitors for this year’s event. The exhibitors will not only be available for face-to-face discussions, but also will showcase additive applications made with their technologies, and in some many cases, the machines themselves.
This is one of the most important aspects of the event for us: the ability to take few steps and find ourselves speaking to yet another major player in the 3D space. It is incredibly easy to learn about new AM technologies, and keep up with new developments.
In addition to the exhibits, RAPID + TCT delivers a significant number of highly relevant presentations. The organizers have selected multiple industry thought leaders that will appear in daily keynote addresses on the event’s main stage.
Complementing the keynotes are a large number of tightly focused talks by industry experts, organized into eight tracks. This has to be one of the largest conferences on AM and related technologies, and I expect it could be difficult to choose between the 160+ unique sessions. These sessions will include talks from those who have successfully implemented AM in their organizations, and are sharing their innovations. There will be much to learn.
While most conferences offer networking opportunities, RAPID + TCT’s is one of the best simply due to the sheer number of attendees and exhibitors. This year’s event includes three major networking events where attendees can participate, in addition to the usual hallway rendezvous activity.
Finally, the event is the location for the annual SME Additive Manufacturing Community Awards. These are a series of awards focusing on achievement, AM startups and other features that celebrate the success of leaders in the industry.
