This week’s selection is the Egg Dispenser by Printables contributor toaster.

This is precisely what you’d think it is: a customized shelf for dispensing eggs. As eggs are taken, new eggs roll down the dispenser and are ready for pickup.

I quite like this model because it should save some space in the refrigerator, since eggs are typically held in cardboard containers in a 2D arrangement. The Egg Dispenser has the eggs in a vertical arrangement that has a smaller footprint.

This design is reminiscent of battery dispensers, of which I’ve printed far too many. Now let’s move on to eggs!

This will be a bit of a tricky 3D print, even though there are no moving parts. That’s because it is quite large: 400mm long on the longest axis. It will not fit on typical 250 x 250 x 250 mm build plates.

Even on the rather large Bambu Lab A2L, which we recently tested, it is hard to fit in. I had to not only place it diagonally, but I also had to tilt it significantly in order to fit inside the build volume. This means you will have to use some supports for the print job.

But if you can print this item, you can be assured of reliable egg dispensing in your kitchen.
