This week’s selection are the Articulated Finger Extensions by MakerWorld contributor ShugyoPrint.
This is exactly what it sounds like: extensions for your fingers that are in skeleton form. They slip onto your fingers, as you’d expect, and then articulate in an exaggerated manner when you flex your digits.
This could be an ideal item for the upcoming Halloween season.
But there’s another feature of this 3D model that make it especially interesting: it’s customized.
The 3D model is actually parametric, meaning you can specify the precise dimensions where needed. This means it is possible to create a 3D model that exactly matches your fingers, each of them individually.

Of course, this will require actually measuring your fingers in various places. ShugyoPrint provides a terrific video showing how the measurements should be done. There are a lot of the, as you might suspect.
Once the measurements are set into the model, you can print off the parts. However, that’s only the beginning as there is a considerable amount of assembly work to do. Fortunately, ShugyoPrint provides another excellent video on how to do the assembly, some of which is not completely obvious.
If you have a need for some extra-long, slightly scary fingers, this is the project for you.
