We’ve been testing a whole bunch of 3D printed shoes from PollyFab.
PollyFab is a global lifestyle brand based in China that is currently producing 3D printed accessories and shoes. It’s the consumer manufacturing arm of Polly Polymer, a relatively new producer of advanced materials that are frequently used in 3D printed applications. Shoes from PollyFab leverage the soft polymers developed by Polly Polymer.
Since 2023, PollyFab has designed 3D printed footwear and smart wearable devices. Their design journey began in 2018, when a young designer imagined a digital footwear design that was finally introduced in 2020. PollyFab recognized his vision, and together they spent 5 years setting up a system to produce the product at a larger scale.

PollyFab currently carries 6 different footwear designs (Aero, Aero Pro, Flux, Airpuff One, Air Wave, and Airpuff One Pro).
When you examine the shoes closely, they are fully 3D printed in a single, continuous structure. There are no seams, stitches, or glue. They completely bypass the common marks or visible joints usually found in non-3D printed footwear.
Somehow, shoes from PollyFab don’t have any visible or tactile layer lines. We’re not sure if they use some kind of magic post-processing steps to remove them, or what type of 3D printing process they’re using to make these shoes. Whatever they do, it seems to work.
These are their current models:
- Aero — A lightweight everyday 3D printed ballerina flat designed to balance comfort, breathability, and casual all‑day wear.
- Aero Pro – A refined, ultra-light sneaker with soft cushioning and excellent airflow, optimized for daily walking, travel, and standing comfort.
- Flux – PollyFab’s most responsive performance-oriented model, offering springy cushioning, shock absorption, and support for active all‑day use.
- Airpuff One – An ultra-light, slip-on 3D-printed shoe that delivers a flexible, barefoot-like feel with maximum breathability.
- Air Wave – A highly ventilated lattice-designed shoe focused on airy comfort, lightweight movement, and a modern, futuristic aesthetic.
- Airpuff One Pro – An upgraded version of the Airpuff One that combines easy slip-on convenience with enhanced cushioning, support, and premium comfort.

We have previously reviewed the Flux shoe, and now we’ve been trying out more models, including the Airpuff One, Airpuff One Pro, Air Wave, Aero, and Aero Pro.
PollyFab offers most of their shoes in several colours. They include light brown, black, green, white, orange, and even pink. We love these colours because they are very easy to blend in with most of our clothing.
All of the 3D-printed shoes have different purposes. When wearing the Airpuff One, it is for when you need to quickly slip on and off shoes, for example.
The Airpuff One can look either casual or dressy. We’ve worn them with shorts, pants, or a dress. However, they have a sleek design and fit a slimmer foot.

The Airpuff One Pro was tested by our team, and a friend who fell completely in love with them. She has a condition that makes her walking difficult, and with the extra cushioning, they provide her legs with relief. They have a very luxurious feel. The only downside to the Airpuff One Pro and Wave is that they seem to be a little on the wide side if you happen to have narrower feet.
The Aero is also a shoe perfect to slip on and off and looks elegant and sleek. It is one of my everyday shoes.
All of the shoes are designed mainly with complex lattice structures, so quick drainage of water has been working very well. That was especially good because we’ve had a lot of water in recent weeks. They say that Hyper Air, their lattice generation technology, can produce structures that deliver “up to 86% energy return” and “absorb 40% more impact than traditional foam”.
Even if your climate does not have a lot of rain, the breathability of the lattice always makes your feet feel comfortable.

The lattice structure is not just for air/water passage: PollyFab also leverages the lattices as a design element. Here you can see how their Air Wave model produces unusual patterns as the shoe is rotated.
I have a few pairs of my PolyFabb 3D-printed shoes at our cottage where I can wear them by the water and sand. If they get dirty, I do a quick wash with a garden hose or just step into the lake.

Recently, I tried out the Air Wave. The futuristic design is not my personal style, but for others, it would be. It is a personal preference. I found it super comfortable but still a little wide for my feet.
After trying several different models, I found that the sizing (especially the width) varies slightly. A shoe that fits one team member didn’t always fit the next because, even if the official size was the same, simply because of the style’s width. You will need to match your foot size with the PollyFab model.

When choosing a 3D-printed shoe from PolyFab, choose one that meets your lifestyle and watch for how the width looks on their website photos and read any sizing notices.
If PollyFab could do anything to improve their shoes and ordering process, it would be to add narrow and wide width options. I understand that this may be more difficult from an operational perspective, but it could make the difference for some customers.
On the PollyFab website, for some styles, they do include a size notice: Runs 0.5–1 size large.
Choose based on your foot shape. Or another style includes: Narrow Feet: Size Down. Wide / high instep: keep the usual size. When ordering, make sure you pay attention to these size notices.
I would recommend keeping referring back to their website as they are introducing new products often. After all, it’s quite easy to make a shoe from a new design with 3D print technology!
PollyFab doesn’t yet offer a custom sizing option, but they may in the future, given that some other 3D-printed shoe outlets do offer that capability.
If you ever wanted to try 3D-printed shoes, I recommend trying PollyFab. The prices for the shoes are very good value, and quite a bit less expensive than some other 3D-printed shoe options. Even better, they are often on sale, offer free shipping, and free returns.
Finally, I guess this is really not a “hands on” review. It’s a “feet on” review.
