LOOP 3D announced a new 3D printer, the LOOP PRO X+ TURBO Gen2.
The Turkish company has been producing professional and industrial FFF equipment for many years. Their previous machine was, you guessed it, the LOOP PRO X+ TURBO. The new machine appears to be an upgrade over the original model.
According to a LinkedIn post from the company, the new Gen2 machine features:
- High-speed large-format printing
- True high-density batch production
- Continuous manufacturing with fibre-reinforced materials
- End-use parts, straight off the machine
LOOP 3D suggests that the new machine is intended for production purposes, rather than prototyping:
“This isn’t just an upgrade. It’s a shift from prototyping to production at scale.”
They also say that, for example, the Gen2 can produce a drone body every 30 minutes, which is actually quite fast.

Unfortunately, they don’t explain at all how this was achieved. Worse, their website does not have any indication of the Gen2 machine, so we cannot even look at the specifications for the system.
They do say that it is possible to upgrade a “gen 1” system to Gen2, meaning that many specifications would be the same, such as a generous build volume of 500 x 350 x 500 mm. It’s also likely the Gen2 machine retains the dual extruders and automated filament switchover features of the gen 1 machine. That machine included several features that might be considered useful for production activity.

I’m curious to learn exactly what they’ve changed in the machine to transform it into a production system, since the original gen 1 machine already had several production features. The gen 1 machine boasted of a print speed “5X” faster than the previous generation, so could the Gen2 machine be even faster?
