We’re on the way to Frankfurt for formnext 2018: see you there?

Team Fabbaloo is flying today to Germany from our bases in North America. Kerry and Marney are coming in from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, while I wing over from Cleveland, Ohio, US. Our transatlantic flights put us in good company, as formnext anticipates significant international presence — of the 21,492 visitors at last year’s edition, 54% were from Germany and 46% from other countries; of course 2018 visitor numbers can’t be tallied until the end of the week, but organizers report that 55% of this year’s exhibitors are international, representing 33 nations.

The show is set to be bigger than ever (until 2019, of course, already planned to be larger still).

All three of us will be there all week, and we’re looking forward to touching base in person with so many companies, technologies, and our readers and community.

While I’ve scheduled all four days with one-on-one interviews and meetings, as well as joining GKN as a panelist at Friday’s Thought Leader Talk, Kerry and Marney will be covering more ground to see every booth. With 550 exhibitors on the floor (two floors, that is, with both Hall 3.0 and Hall 3.1 filled), that’s a tall order indeed.

We’re also looking forward to the after-hours events for which formnext is well known, for more casual conversations and networking. Catch us at the Women in 3D Printing happy hour on Tuesday, various booth parties Tuesday and Wednesday, and the exhibitors’ night on Thursday.

Is there something we should be sure to see? Want to say hi in Frankfurt? We’d love to hear from you — reach out via email or Twitter.

See you at formnext!
