I’m back with more 3D printed shoes to review.

After spending a day in the PollyFab Flux 3D printed shoes, the promise of fully 3D-printed footwear felt quite real — incredible comfort, near-seamless fit, and surprising performance for a 3D printed design.

These shoes managed me through a 10-hour workday, cycling, and gym session without traditional blister points or hot spots typically caused by seams or laces. The springy lattice structure offered excellent breathability and adaptive cushioning that felt supportive even hours into use.

Flux falls into a unique niche — a higher-impact daily trainer with responsive support and shock absorption, with a lattice structure and bio-based elastomer material that breathes and adapts to each of my steps.

But how does Flux compare to PollyFab’s other models — especially the Aero Pro and the lightweight Airpuff One? I had the opportunity to give these alternative models a good workout.

Let’s look at the key differences and similarities between these 3D printed shoe models:

Aero Pro — Everyday Light Sneaker
A slightly more refined, lightweight sneaker compared to Flux, but still geared toward all-day wear rather than high-impact training.
Shares the same ELASTO 1000 BIO bio-based 3D-printed material but focuses on daily comfort and standing comfort over immediate responsiveness. Has soft, breathable cushioning with shock-absorbing properties, but with a softer feel than Flux.

Airpuff One — Ultra-Light, Barefoot Feel
It’s closer to a barefoot/slipper sneaker, extremely light and flexible.
It focuses on flexibility and breathability over structured support.

Comfort & Feel — How They Compare

Cushioning & Support Flux delivers a springier, responsive step, making it feel more like a true sneaker with actual energy return.
Aero Pro has soft and flexible cushioning — ideal for standing, walking, travel, or casual wear without fatigue. The Aero Pro would be a perfect recovery shoe to slip on after a workout — but not during a workout.
Airpuff One has barefoot-like flexibility with extreme softness. It’s less rigid but perfect when you want an ultra-light, almost sock-like sensation.

Breathability & Movement

All three models benefit from PollyFab’s 360° lattice design, which promotes airflow and flexibility. That means no matter which model you’re wearing, your feet aren’t enclosed in a traditional foam-or-mesh sandwich — they stay cooler and feel freer to bend with natural foot movement.

When should you choose each of these models?

  • Flux is your all-around performance choice.
  • Aero Pro targets those who prioritize breathability and ease of wear for everyday tasks.
  • Airpuff One refines the barefoot comfort experience — less structure, more freedom.

Despite their different focuses, all PollyFab shoes share several core features:

  • Fully 3D-printed in one seamless piece — no adhesives or stitching required.
  • Uses ELASTO 1000 BIO bio-based, flexible material, which is sustainable and durable.
  • 360° lattice structure — providing consistent breathability, durability, and flexibility.
  • Washable and easy to maintain — should handle everyday wear.

Final Impressions

If the original Flux combines design with performance, then Aero Pro and Airpuff One drift into lifestyle usage. Flux is about balancing performance and comfort. Aero Pro leans into everyday ease and breathability. Airpuff One offers the lightest, most flexible take of the lineup.

When you look at these three, it’s clear that 3D printed footwear is more than just a cool idea—it’s changing how we see comfort, sustainability and movement in shoes. Whether you’re hitting the gym or just want to stay comfy all day, there’s probably a PollyFab style that’s perfect for you.
