3D printed coasters – in record player format [Source: Cults]

This week’s selection is the Record Player Coaster Set by Cults contributor flapjack3dcreations.

This is a very cool household 3D print that is not only easy to produce but also fun. It’s a coaster set, and unusually, also includes a holder for the complete set.

The interesting part is that the entire set is themed as old-time record playing. The coasters are “LPs”, and the holder is the record player. Just like a real record playing experience, the LPs, I mean coasters, can be stacked up on the record player.

There are only four models to this set: the base, the player arm, and two versions of the coasters. One version is a .3MF file that provides a multicolor version of the coaster, as you can see in the images.

I can easily see this sitting on a coffee table, being inspected by curious visitors. It’s a tactile design that will definitely draw attention.

The files are available for download at Cults for the price of US$5.89.
