3D Printed Revolver: It Works!

By on February 13th, 2014 in blog

We’ve written many times about experiments in 3D printed firearms, but never about a fully functional 3D printed revolver.

The device, made by some inventive folks in Japan, includes a cylinder that contains six bullets. It’s not an automatic device as you must prep the gun for each shot.

The video shows the weapon being successfully fired up to six times per session. It’s not clear if the cylinder can be reused a second time by reloading, or whether its damaged by firing. Previous attempts at 3D printed weapons typically resulted in “one shot” weapons that were at best unreliable after shooting and risked explosion.

This development overcomes the “one shot” limitation. Six times.
