G.W.Consultancy and AT 3D-SQUARED have signed a partnership to “advance AM/3D Printing to the next level.”
There’s a lot to 3D printing, and a lot standing in the way of adopting the technology. As it’s so fast-growing as well, and “next-generation” is often separated from “outdated” by a period of months, keeping up with developments and maintaining suddenly-legacy equipment that was a hefty investment can be tricky.
Consultancies offer important strategic help in 3D printing. Technical support is key, and bringing in the experts can lend comfort to new adopters or those ready to push forward with more advanced solutions.
In an industry so young as additive manufacturing, just a few years of experience can make an expert; imagine what decades of experience can create. These veterans of ten, twenty, thirty years are invaluable in providing from-the-ground perspective. Many such experienced individuals remain locked into long-term positions, but the few who have made themselves available in consulting and other more open access are finding great footholds in helping to build a broader base of well-run enterprises.
So when these veterans team up, it’s worth taking note. And we’re increasingly seeing those experts come together in offering unique services building upon joint foundations of strength to address the needs of the market.
Germany-based G.W.Consultancy and UK-based AT 3D-SQUARED are now collaborating in an agreement to support one another technically across all European territories.
The founders’ complementary areas of expertise and extensive backgrounds in additive manufacturing position them to offer customers access to an even broader range of support. AT 3D-SQUARED CEO and Technical Director Andrew Allshorn and Gerard Winstanley of G.W.Consultancy each bring decades of experience in and passion for additive manufacturing.
“I have been working on projects with Gerard for several years now and the opportunity to work more closely through this partnership is an exciting prospect for our companies,” said Allshorn. “Gerard and I have the same huge passion for the AM industry and I am looking forward to pushing the boundaries of our industry together.”
AT 3D-SQUARED enables access to a breadth of knowledge and services in 3D printing. The company works with global clients of all sizes and focuses, from Formula 1 to service bureaus. Among the company’s services are service and repair for legacy SLA machines, among many other offerings across machines, software, and materials. Allshorn himself, a delightful figure with more than 30 years’ experience in this industry, has received notable recognitions and awards across his career, and is a Global Ambassador for AMUG.
“I am proud to work so closely with AT 3D-SQUARED and to be involved with Andrew who provides such a great portfolio to the AM industry,” Winstanley said of the partnership. “His years of experience including his global presence as ambassador to AMUG will only help in developing my clients further and understanding the technology to fit their applications better.”
G.W.Consultancy has specialities in carbon composite production, Kaizen, and a number of additive manufacturing technologies. Extended consultancy services support customer R&D. The company also performs benchmarking with Somos materials. Winstanley brings 18 years of experience in motorsport and a background in developing and promoting 3D printing materials and processes.
