It looks like PCBWAY has found itself with a trainload of TPU material.

The popular prototyping service added 3D print capabilities a couple of years ago, and it’s a growing component of their business. Models uploaded to their service can be made in a huge range of 3D print materials, including:

  • Resin
  • Nylon
  • PLA
  • ABS
  • PETG
  • TPU
  • PC
  • ASA
  • PEEK
  • Aluminum
  • Stainless steel
  • Titanium
  • Tool steel

PCBWAY offers TPU at a 95A rating in six colours: white, black, red, yellow, blue, and gray.

We’ve learned that they intend on launching a special promotion specifically for TPU material during the month of September. TPU is rapidly becoming a more popular material, but it is still often priced quite a bit higher than typical 3D print materials like PLA or ABS.

PCBWAY’s September promotion is substantial: they intend on dropping their price for TPU prints by a whopping 36%. This puts TPU in pretty much the same price range as PLA material.

They also say there will be additional discounts for larger TPU prints. For example, if a print is over 20g, there will be an “extra discount”. For prints over 64g, the discount can be “up to 80% off”.

While it is getting somewhat easier to print TPU on your own desktop equipment, it’s usually very slow going, and TPU prints can take a very long time, even with high-speed 3D printers.

Imagine a scenario where you require multiple TPU prints, and it might take you days or even weeks to complete them on your own equipment. The alternative is to simply request production from PCBWAY and you might save a considerable amount of time. In September, you could take advantage of not only the TPU discount but also the volume production discount from PCBWAY.

This promotion could be of great interest to anyone that requires quantities of TPU parts.

The deal begins on September 1st, so you may want to wait until then to order TPU prints from PCBWAY.
